We are the Wheezing Warriors, and for the past three years, we have shown up with purpose, heart, and determination at the Great Strides Walk. Every step we take is more than a walk-it is a statement of hope, strength, and refusal to give up until cystic fibrosis no longer exists.

Cystic fibrosis is a genetic, life-shortening disease that affects the lungs, digestive system, and other organs. It causes thick, sticky mucus to build up in the body, leading to chronic lung infections, breathing difficulties, and daily treatments just to maintain life. There is no cure-yet. But because of research funded by walks like this one, people with CF are living longer, fuller lives than ever before.

As a team, we have the power to make a real impact. Through fundraising, awareness, and simply showing up together, we help fund critical research, life-saving medications, and better treatments. Every dollar raised pushes science forward. Every conversation spreads understanding. Every step brings us closer to a cure.

We walk not only for Colleen, but for every person living with cystic fibrosis, every family navigating the daily challenges, and every child born into this fight. We walk for those who can't. We walk for those still waiting. We walk because progress is possible-and because one day, a cure will be found.
