Join Our National Team to Cure Cystic Fibrosis!



Finding a cure for CF has been a lifelong passion for me.  I learned about Cystic Fibrosis as a very young child, having grown up with three siblings who fought Cystic Fibrosis and lost the battle...  Teresa at age 6 (1974), Ben at age 10 (1983), and Bernie at age 21 (2000).  Very little was known about the disease at that time and very few lived into adulthood.  I volunteered at and participated in the first Alaska Great Strides walk just a few months after Bernie passed away and have been involved with Great Strides ever since.  



There is so much hope now and so much more known about Cystic Fibrosis.  Treatments have significantly improved the quality of life for those suffering from CF and researchers are working hard to find a cure.  This is all possible because of the efforts of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and work of volunteers through events like Great Strides.  These advancements and improvements, along with the CF families I have met along the way, are what keep me going, keep the passion burning to find a cure.  Our efforts are clearly making a difference but we still have a lot of work to do.



This year, I have the amazing opportunity to lead Bernie's Dream Team at three separate Great Strides events in three different states... Arizona (Mesa), Alaska (Wasilla), and Washington (Seattle).
