My Great Strides Story
Angel And Joe Bernardi
Fundraising for Albany Great Strides 2026
Angel And Joe Bernardi
Our beautiful 16 year old granddaughter, Reese, has cystic fibrosis, a genetic disease that affects the lungs, pancreas and other vital organs. Despite having the challenges she faces on a daily basis, Reese has an incredible zest for life! She is in the 10th grade, loves acting, music, singing and playing basketball. She fills our hearts with love every single day! We love her so much!
Reese does treatments twice a day every day, takes medications daily, and takes enzymes before meals and snacks. She visits the CF clinic, has bloodwork, x-rays and tests every few months. She does all this without complaint. Reese is an incredible inspiration to all of us! She is our hero!
One of the medications Reese takes is Trikafta. What a difference this drug has made for her. She breathes easier and coughs less! Your donations have made this medication possible! Although much progress has been made, there is still no cure. Our wish is that one day a cure will be found for our granddaughter, Reese, and everyone with cystic fibrosis. We need your help to make that happen!
Please make a donation to our "Cystic Fibrosis Great Strides" fundraising campaign and/or join us at the walk on May 30, 2026 at the University at Albany Campus, 1400 Washington Avenue, Albany, NY and help make a difference in the lives of everyone with cystic fibrosis! Your support means so much!
Your gift is 100-percent tax deductible.
