Very soon, I will walk the last part of the Camino de Santiago in Spain. That's about 70 miles, or 114 kilometers. The Camino is a set of ancient pilgrimage routes that lead to the tomb of St. James the Apostle. St. James was known for his humility, for witnessing healing miracles, and for his courage to stand strong in the face of persecution, and even death. The Camino continues to serve as an inspiration for millions of pilgrims on their personal journey of spiritual growth.

In my journey I will reflect on the courage that it takes to live with cystic fibrosis (CF). I will reflect on our beautiful friend, who wakes up every day with a smile and sense of humor to battle her disease. I will reflect on the times that she stood strong against her debilitating symptoms and pushed herself through high school, college, law school, and now into an amazing career.
While progress is being made every day to fight this disease, currently there is no cure for cystic fibrosis.. I'm walking to help change that reality.

CF is a genetic, life-changing disease that affects the lungs, pancreas, and other organs. Every person born with cystic fibrosis is on a unique journey and experiences this challenging disease differently. While progress has been made, a long road lies ahead for far too many people dealing with this disease. We need a cure so that everyone with CF is able to live a long, healthy life.
