Hi Friends and Family,
Although we weren’t able to walk in Great Strides this year, we do still want to help them reach their goal. We are so grateful for all the hard work the CF Foundation does for those with CF; services, treatments and therapies. This fall Joey was able to start a new medication called Alyftrek that the CFF helped make possible. It will hopefully be even better than Trikafta at treating the actual cause of CF instead of just treating the symptom like many of the previous meds. He only has to take it once a day instead of twice a day which helps with the compliance in a busy junior in highschool. He still takes his enzymes and does his other treatments but with Alyftrek onboard we are all the more hopeful.
Having the support of this community and you too gives him the extra lift to do it well and make you proud. Thanks for your continued support! We fight for better CF meds to be available for when CF rears its ugly head as a progressive condition and for all those that don’t have access to the meds that are available now.

There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis and too many people with CF die young. I’m walking to help change that reality.
CF is a genetic, life-shortening disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure.
Every person born with cystic fibrosis is on a unique journey and experiences this challenging disease differently. While progress has been made, a long road lies ahead for far too many people fighting this terrible disease. We need a cure so that everyone with CF has a better chance to live a long, healthy life.
