Hello Friends and Family.  Sadly this year's event is going to be very difficult for me, thus the late notification here.  I will have to keep this short as I fell down months ago and tore both my gluteus tendon and my rotator cuff (difficult to type).  I had hip surgery for the gluteus tendon 10 weeks ago and my shoulder / rotator cuff five weeks ago.  Not to keep this about me, but yes I am in sad shape.  I thought all our surgeries were behind us last year.

Anyway, this is not about me but the help needed to find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis (CF).  As you know my grandson was born with CF and has had his many trials and tribulations with the disease.  At our last message he had begun the new drug Tricafta which has worked so well with so many affected.  Sadly this medication caused his liver counts to go sky high (higher than they already were).  They reduced the medication to every other day in hopes that would help.  Unfortunately liver counts were still too high and they had to stop the medication.  We are back to square one in hopes of another drug development to help with his mutation.

With that said it is even more critical now that we continue to work hard to find new advancements with this disease (and not only for my grandson, but for all affected).  I know inflation is high and times are tough, so if you are able your donation would be greatly appreciated.  At a minimum I appreciate the prayers and thoughts so Junior can lead as normal a life as possible.  Thank you all my dear friends and family!  With all my love!!!

There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis and too many people with CF die young. I’m walking to help change that reality.

CF is a genetic, life-shortening disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure.

Every person born with cystic fibrosis is on a unique journey and experiences this challenging disease differently. While progress has been made, a long road lies ahead for far too many people fighting this terrible disease. We need a cure so that everyone with CF has a better chance to live a long, healthy life.

Will you help us end cystic fibrosis?

By donating to my fundraising goal, you have the power to advance the research and science needed to drive our shared dream forward – a cure for everyone with CF.
