Chasing Fairy Tales & Finding Cures: Running Disney for Cystic Fibrosis!
Fundraising for 2027 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend
Jana Stone
Welcome to My Fundraising Page!
Thank you for being here! This February, my daughter Audrey and I are running 19.3 miles across two days at the Disney Princess Fairy Tale Challenge to support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF).
Why I Run
As a young college student and proud sister of Delta Phi Epsilon—which adopted the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF) as its official international philanthropy in 1957—I learned firsthand how devastating and deadly Cystic Fibrosis (CF) can be. During those college years, DPhiE’s commitment to raising awareness and funds for CFF opened my eyes to the daily struggles faced by children and adults living with this genetic disease.
Running for a Purpose
Running for a cause has been a cornerstone of my marathon journey. Having previously raised funds through Team Up Autism Speaks while running both the New York City Marathon and the Marine Corps Marathon, I’ve seen how powerful a dedicated community can be when we lace up for something bigger than ourselves. Every mile logged in past races showed me the direct impact donor support has on real lives, and I am honored to bring that same energy and passion to supporting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
A Mother-Daughter Milestone
This race holds a special place in my heart for two reasons:
Hitting 26 half marathons is a personal milestone, and every mile feels even more meaningful when tied to a cause greater than myself.
I have the absolute joy of running this challenge with my daughter, Audrey, who will be crossing the finish line of her 4th Half Marathon! Sharing this experience with her—and teaching the next generation the power of running for a purpose—is a gift I don't take for granted.
Why Research Matters
Thirty years ago, the outlook for CF was vastly different. Thanks to donor-funded research, ground-breaking treatments like CFTR modulators have extended life expectancies and transformed lives. But our job isn't done until CF stands for "Cure Found."
How You Can Help:
• Donate: $10, $26 (for my 26th half!), $50, or any amount helps fund life-saving research.
• Share: Pass my page along to family, friends, and fellow runners.
Thank you for supporting our mother-daughter journey and helping others breathe easy!
