My Breathe Team Story

Fundraising for 2026 Disney Wine and Dine Half Marathon Weekend

Running for a cure!
This October my friend Deb and I will be taking on a challenge that’s a little outside our comfort zone-we’re running both the Disney Wine & Dine 10k and Half marathon (a total of 19.3 miles!) to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
I’ll be honest, a few months ago I wasn’t even sure I’d be running again. After working through injuries, slowly rebuilding (and I mean slooooooowly), and logging a lot of early morning miles , this challenge has become about much more than crossing a finish line. This comeback has been one of the hardest and most meaningful things I’ve done in a long time and I’m feeling incredibly grateful to be healthy and strong enough again to be running at Disney. I want to use these miles as an opportunity to help others.
Every mile can help move us closer to a day when no family has to hear the words “your child has cystic fibrosis”. While incredible progress has been made, CF is still a life-shortening disease that affects the lungs, pancreas and other vital organs. Research funded by organizations like the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has transformed lives-but there is still more work to do.
My fundraising goal is $1,500, and every donation-no matter the size-helps fund lifesaving research, new treatments , and ultimately, a cure!
If you are able to support me by donating I would be incredibly grateful. and if you can’t donate, sharing this page would mean just as much!
Thank you for cheering me on through the miles and for helping make a difference for families living with cystic fibrosis!
