My CF Connection
Fundraising for Buffalo Great Strides 2026
Gretchen Fournier
WELCOME!
Taylor Smith will turn 30 this summer! When she was born the median life expectancy for someone born with cystic fibrosis (CF) was approximately 31 years old. Think about that.
Because of people like you and I, because we raised money to donate to the CF Foundation, Taylor and others like her have survived and will live. Plain and simple. They get to live because of science.
A generation ago, surviving into one's 30s was considered a major milestone. Thanks to groundbreaking medical interventions-specifically CFTR modulator therapies-these survival statistics have completely transformed. Children born today with cystic fibrosis now have a projected life expectancy well into adulthood.
HOWEVER, there still are about 10% of those living with CF who cannot benefit from any of the modulators to date. There STILL is no cure for cystic fibrosis and too many people with CF will die far too young. While progress has been made, a long road lies ahead for far too many people..
Will you help us end cystic fibrosis?
By donating to my fundraising goal, you have the power to advance the research and science needed to drive our shared dream forward - a cure for everyone with CF.
Thank you.
