✨ Team Fer Jules is on the verge of celebrating a MILESTONE! ✨
Upon receiving our award for the 2025 Top Great Strides Team at the Buffalo CFF Annual Awards Celebration this year, it was announced that, with our relentless grassroots campaigning every year, team Fer Jules has raised close to $175,000 to date!
Of course, that got us thinking - how amazing would it be to hit $200,000 this year? Please join us in helping us hit this remarkable milestone!
As you know by now, every dollar brings us closer to making Cystic Fibrosis a manageable disease vs. a fatal one. If you've been with us for a while, you have seen firsthand the breakthrough medications Julia has been lucky enough to get access to. She was first on the list to start the groundbreaking Alyftrek this past September, a new modulator drug that essentially corrects the faulty CFTR protein - a drug that was only a mere possibility when she was diagnosed back in '94!
Thanks entirely to donations, the CF life expectancy has improved dramatically, with a new median predicted survival age of 65 for those born between 2020-2026! However, it’s important to remember that this figure does not include older patients born in the 80’s and 90’s (patients like Julia) who did not benefit from these transformative treatments earlier in life.
CF is still incurable, and it still claims the lives of too many, too young. That's why as incredible as hitting our milestone goal may be, this is much bigger than that.
So we are asking you, as friends, family and colleagues of a CF-er whom we love and adore, to join the Fer Jules army in the fight for a cure: the ultimate goal!
Let’s do it! Let’s smash that $200,000 together! Let’s move closer to a cure for Cystic Fibrosis – a cure fer Jules!
