Nearly 20 years ago, I attended my very first Great Strides event. I nervously attended as a volunteer, unsure of what Great Strides was really about. I was changed that day. I heard from families with little kids who were begging for a longer, better life for their sons and daughters. I heard stories of hope, seeing folks with CF share about their experiences post-lung transplant. All the while, I was standing slack-jawed and amazed with how many people were there to support finding a cure for CF. A cure for me. and my brother, Ben.
From that day on, I knew my mission. It was to find a cure for CF and we are so close. We are in a new era- an era of modulators, gene therapies, and scientific advances that would have been unbelievable 20 years ago. But we aren't finished and we won't stop until there is a cure. Until it's done, For everyone.
Help us get over the line and get a cure for everyone with CF. So we can make CF stand for Cure Found.
