Team James is back for year eleven!

Every year has looked a little different for Team James. It started with a race in Central Park, NY and eventually evolved into virtual competitions during Covid. This year, I was craving the camaraderie that comes with competing alongside others who have been affected by CF. This year, I will be walking in Bethesda Great Strides in honor of my cousin James.
James passed away in 2014 due to complications from Cystic Fibrosis. While James struggled with the symptoms of CF his entire life, he would be the last to complain (and the first to crack a joke!). We fundraise to preserve the memory of the strong, brave, and selfless man that we lost all those years ago. We come together with the hopes that one day, another family will not have to suffer this loss.

What is CF?

CF is a genetic, life-shortening disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure.

Every person born with cystic fibrosis is on a unique journey and experiences this challenging disease differently. While progress has been made, a long road lies ahead for far too many people fighting this terrible disease. We need a cure so that everyone with CF has a better chance to live a long, healthy life.

Will you help us end cystic fibrosis?

By donating to my fundraising goal, you have the power to advance the research and science needed to drive our shared dream forward – a cure for everyone with CF.
