I've dedicated more than a third of my life to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and for most of that time, I showed up with no personal connection, because I believed in the mission. I believe the CF story is the greatest story in medicine and I wanted to be part of that.
 

A few years ago, I met my fiancé Tre who is living with CF. His sister Alyssa, passed away from complications due to CF, 8 years ago. Friends, colleagues, and people I love are living with this disease every day. And on Wednesday, May 6, about a month before our wedding, I'll be walking at Bethesda Great Strides for all of them, and for every person in the CF community.
 

Cystic fibrosis is a life-threatening genetic disease that causes a buildup of thick mucus that impacts the lungs, digestive system, pancreas, and more. More than 40,000 people in the United States are living with CF today, and while research has come extraordinarily far, there is still no cure.
 

It's okay if you've never heard of CF before this. I'm not asking you to be an expert. I'm not even asking you to donate (though every dollar makes a difference!) I'm simply asking you to show up for me and for people with CF.
 

We are closer to a cure than we have ever been. It would mean the world to me if you joined my team and helped me spread the word.
