Hello !

You may know that cystic fibrosis (CF) is a genetic, life-shortening disease that impacts the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and eventually respiratory failure.

I have worked for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation as a CF researcher for over 15 years, helping to discover and develop new treatments for CF.  We have made amazing progress during that time, and have now five approved medicines. BUT we still don't have a cure and the medicines slow the disease progression but don't prevent it. Worse, we cannot even treat every person with CF with the approved medicines because the exact genetic defect causing CF varies between people and makes some unresponsive to the availble treatments.

Will you help us end cystic fibrosis?

By donating to the CF Foundation and my fundraising goal, you have the power to support and advance the research and science needed to drive our shared dream forward – a cure for everyone with CF.  Due to the funding cuts to medical research by the government, we need your support more than ever.

Thank you!!!
