I have once again committed to Great Strides, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's Annual nationwide walk to cure cystic fibrosis (CF). CF is a life-threatening genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive systems of tens of thousands of young people. I am writing to ask for your help and enlist your support. As most of you know by now, my daughter, Gracie, has CF. She is now 21 years old and is working. She has just started on a newly approved medication, Alyftrek, after suffering reactions to her previous medications. She will need to go to the doctors monthly for liver testing while on this medication so please keep her in your prayers that she remains healthy. There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis and too many people with CF die young. I’m walking to help change that reality.
Our team "Gracie's Group" will be walking on Sunday May 18th at Carson Beach in Dorchester this year. This year will be our 21st walk! I would appreciate any donations (100% tax deductible) that you are able to make.
