My daughter Emily has cystic fibrosis. There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis. I’m running to help change that reality.
CF is a genetic, life-shortening disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure.
Emily loves to swim, run, play soccer and sing. She is active in sports and her school community. Because of funds provided by the CF Foundation, Emily has been able to take medication to help her lead a full and healthy life.
