As kids, when we imagine the future with our best friends, we picture a lifetime of shared joy and good health. So when my dear friend Cheryl called to tell me she was pregnant, I was overjoyed.
 

10 months later another call came: her newborn baby was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis. Suddenly, I felt completely helpless. Cheryl was living across the country, plunged overnight into a terrifying world of specialists, treatments, and relentless uncertainty. Becoming a new Mother is overwhelming on its own; navigating it with a chronically ill infant takes a unique kind of courage.

Cheryl has faced every single day with steadfast determination. While I and our friend group couldn't be there physically to shoulder the burden, what we could do is get out there and do our best to raise awareness and money to further CF research.

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has made incredible strides recently; transforming outcomes and giving families real hope. But hope isn't a cure. That’s why the team at Gordon’s is stepping up to raise funds, honor these heroes, and help push us over the finish line to finding a cure for CF.
