Team Lex is back for another year and we are getting started early! Who is ready to join us in our fight against Cystic Fibrosis?
With every year, we get closer to finding a cure for all of those afflicted by C.F. Alexander’s life has drastically improved thanks to these life saving drugs and for all of you who know Alexander, you get to see this real life miracle in action.
With his new medicine, Trikafta, his body is able to now do what ours do naturally. He is gaining weight properly and the thick mucus is less prominent in his body so he is not growing harmful bacteria in his lungs. He gets to be an energetic little boy without having to worry about the basics of breathing or anything else. After all, that is our job.
Even with these amazing advances in medicine it is still important that we continue to fight for a cure because of the worry that sits in the back of our mind.
We will not settle until we have a cure for our little man.
We will not stop until it is no longer needed for him to take his trikafta pills twice a day.
We will keep fighting so that he can have a life not having to worry about periodic doctors visits for this condition.
We are going to keep going so that the anxiety of waiting for test results, wondering if this time there will be a different result, is just a faded, empty memory.
