My Great Strides Story

Despite increased advances with powerful medications, no cure exists for cystic fibrosis patients and some, cannot take these medications.
This year, I’m asking for your help to change that reality, partner with me to find a cure for cf.
Cystic fibrosis is a genetic disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, liver, kidneys and other parts of the body.
Every person born with cystic fibrosis is on a unique journey and experiences this challenging disease differently.
Cf patients are beginning to live longer than ever before and thus developing new challenges that were never discussed previously.
Osteoporosis, menopause, among other “old age” markers are being discussed at clinic visits now. As a senior member of the cf community, I am blessed with each birthday while also discussing new symptoms and health concerns that need to be part my care plan.
A cure would give cf patients the ability to have fewer complications and thus less medications over a lifetime. It would allow the ability to reach goals, have families, and ultimately less financial stressors heading into adulthood. Multi organ disease is very expensive.
Cystic fibrosis patients, families and care teams navigate some unimaginable obstacles. A cure would ultimately result in a physical deeper breath for each patient but also, a figurative deep breath visualizing a long life ahead.
Will you help us end cystic fibrosis?
By helping me achieve my goal, you have the power to advance the research and science needed to drive our shared dream forward – a cure for everyone with CF.
~Thank you and big love to all. My fight continues….
