I got diagnosed at 10 months old. Skin hanging from a malnourished body, the sweat test confirmed the concerns we all had. My life first changed then, as it would so many times to come. After the ups and downs, I could never have predicted that I would be thriving at the age of 35. So I'm passionate about helping give others in my community the chance to do the same!
CF is a genetic, life-shortening disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure.
Every person born with cystic fibrosis is on a unique journey and experiences this challenging disease differently. We all need different kinds of support- all of which is possible through the financial and social contributions from our community! We need a cure so that everyone with CF has a better chance to live a long, healthy life.
