Our daughter Ashley was diagnosed with CF at 9 months of age. At that time the average life expectancy was 7 years old. Thanks to The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and its' many donors our daughter, now 28, is thriving. But there is still much work to do to ensure a long, healthy life for Ashley and all who live with this horrible disease.
There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis and too many people with CF die too young. My family participates with The CF Foundation events to help change that reality and we hope you will too.
CF is a genetic disease that impacts the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage, respiratory failure and too often death.
Every person born with cystic fibrosis is on a unique journey and experiences this challenging disease differently. By donating to our fundraising goal, you have the power to advance the research and science needed to drive our shared dream forward – a cure for everyone with CF.
