Our daughter Ashley was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at 9 months of age. At that time the average life expectancy of a child with CF was a devastating 7 years old. CF is a genetic disease that impacts the lungs and other vital organs causing chronic infections, making it difficult to breathe and leading to organ failure. Often CF patients live in pain.
Thanks to the tireless work of The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, its' partners and its' donors our daughter, now 29, and many like her are thriving. But there is still much work to do to ensure a long, healthy life for Ashley and all who live with this horrible disease.
There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis and too many people with CF suffer. We participate in CF Foundation events to help change that reality.
Please help us make CF stand for CURE FOUND!!!
