I want to welcome everyone to walk for a cure for cystic fibrosis. Aubree, my daughter, needs your support and donations to help find a cure for cystic fibrosis. Much has changed in a year, thanks to the foundation and researchers. New medications, such as Trikafta, have significantly helped Aubree in her battle against this terrible disease. She will be turning 4 in July, and we have enrolled her in preschool for the first time that Aubree will be in a class settings. This is an extremely big deal for us as we were so worried and still are worried about picking up a respiratory sickness or forgetting her medication. The medication has improved her CFTR proteins at a cellular level. These drugs bind to the cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator(CFTR)proteins that aren't working correctly and kick-start them to do what they're supposed to.The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is assisting cystic fibrosis patients in their fight against this disease. Your donation will help researchers further their work to aid these patients. Any contribution would be greatly appreciated. Walk for Aubree's Angels on May 17.
