My Great Strides Story
Kiara Bell
Fundraising for Cincinnati Great Strides 2026
Kiara Bell
We have been doing the Great Strides Walk ever since the girls met in Pre-School! Kiara always raises at least $100! Help Kiara raise money for something near and dear to our hearts. We do the great strides walk every year to support her best friend Abby, who has cystic fibrosis. If you know Kiara, you know she aims to reach her goal and she gets it every year.
Could you imagine how much money we could raise! Even if you cannot donate a simple share and asking for donations would double the chances of her reaching her goal. It also spreads awareness.
Donations to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation support medication protocols, hospitals, patients and families. There are only 30,000 CF patients in the United States, and their care is very specialized. Abby is a perfect example – no one else in the world has the same cystic fibrosis mutation as she does. Navigating their healthcare is challenging, and the Foundation is able to assist families through the system.
There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis and too many people with CF die young. I'm walking to help change that reality.
CF is a genetic, life-shortening disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure.
Every person born with cystic fibrosis is on a unique journey and experiences this challenging disease differently. While progress has been made, a long road lies ahead for far too many people fighting this terrible disease. We need a cure so that everyone with CF has a better chance to live a long, healthy life.
Will you help us end cystic fibrosis?
By donating to my fundraising goal, you have the power to advance the research and science needed to drive our shared dream forward – a cure for everyone with CF.
