"Dum spiro spero:  While I breathe, I hope."
Meet our CF Warrior Caden!  Caden was born 7 years ago with cystic fibrosis, a rare progressive genetic disorder that affects the lungs and pancreas.  Since Caden will fight this for the rest of his life, we hope to engage our community and grow awareness.    Caden has been fortunate to be able to take new drug therapies, like Orkambi and Trikafta, to minimize symptoms and slow down the progression of the disease.  On the horizon is the newest modulator, Alyftrek, that has recently been approved for Caden's age group.  The benefit of this drug is that it only needs to be taken once a day.  The research to make these drugs possible is due to the fundraising efforts of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the Great Strides Walk.  Every dollar donated makes a difference!!  Despite the new drugs, Caden still needs to do treatments twice a day, wearing his oscillating vest to keep his lungs clear.  He also needs to take enzymes before he eats.  In spite of all of that, Caden is a happy, well-adjusted strong warrior, who loves all things sports related!  Caden's parents, Jeff and Gina, along with brothers Cameron, Casey and Logan, invite you to join us at the Great Strides Walk at the Cleveland Zoo on Saturday, May 17, 2025.  If you can't join us, click on Caden's name to donate to our team.  We won't stop until CF stands for Cure Found!!

There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis and too many people with CF die young. I’m walking to help change that reality.

CF is a genetic, life-shortening disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure.

Every person born with cystic fibrosis is on a unique journey and experiences this challenging disease differently. While progress has been made, a long road lies ahead for far too many people fighting this terrible disease. We need a cure so that everyone with CF has a better chance to live a long, healthy life.

Will you help us end cystic fibrosis?

By donating to my fundraising goal, you have the power to advance the research and science needed to drive our shared dream forward – a cure for everyone with CF.
