Kenzie Kokoski
Hi, I am Mackenzie! I was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis at birth, and I am currently 26 years old. Living with CF has presented numerous challenges that tested every ounce of my resilience. When I was 20 years old, on October 28th of 2019, I underwent a lifesaving double lung transplant. I was living on oxygen tanks and borrowed time. Thanks to medical advancements, I am alive and breathing easy. Due to the funds brought in from donations, research is adding tomorrows to the entire CF community. It’s never lost on us the amount of your contributions to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The advancements in CF are possible because of donators like you. My team and I will also be walking for my older sister Bethany. She was diagnosed with CF at 3 months old. Due to the miracle drug, Trikafta, created through endless research, she got married and gave birth to a baby boy. My transplant saved my life in 2019 and Trikafta saved Bethany’s in the same year. Our disease changed in the best way at the same time. We owe that all to science and the research that helped discover these advancements. Let’s continue to fight until CF stands for cure found!
By donating to my fundraising goal, you have the power to advance the research and science needed to drive our shared dream forward – a cure for everyone with CF.
