My Great Strides Story
Fundraising for Columbia/Willamette Great Strides 2026
Molly Askew
Cystic fibrosis has impacted my life in a very personal way. I lost my mom to CF when I was 14 years old, and my aunt continues to fight this disease every single day. Watching what they have gone through is a big part of why lung health means so much to me.
Today, I work as a respiratory therapist, caring for patients with lung disease every day. Supporting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and participating in Great Strides is my way of honoring my mom, supporting my aunt, and helping push research forward so future families don't have to experience the same loss.
I've created a team through my work and would love your support-whether that's walking with us or donating to the cause.
Every person born with cystic fibrosis is on a unique journey and experiences this challenging disease differently. While progress has been made, a long road lies ahead for far too many people fighting this terrible disease. We need a cure so that everyone with CF has a better chance to live a long, healthy life.
