Hello friends,
 

For the past 15 years, I’ve had the privilege of working for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, serving as the Executive Director of our local chapter. While I don’t have a direct genetic connection to cystic fibrosis, my connection to this disease is deeply personal through the incredible CF community I get to know every day. The strength, resilience, and determination of people with CF and their families continually inspire me—and that’s why I proudly walk in Great Strides.
 

Cystic fibrosis is a genetic, life‑shortening disease that damages the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. It makes it difficult to breathe and fight infection, often leading to serious complications and life‑threatening outcomes. Thanks to decades of research and the generosity of supporters like you, breakthroughs in CF care have transformed what it means to live with this disease. Many people with CF are living longer, healthier lives than ever before—and that progress is extraordinary.
 

But the fight is far from over.
 

Too many people with CF still face significant challenges every day. Some are not able to benefit from today’s life‑changing therapies, and there is still no cure. Every person with CF is on a unique journey, and for far too many, that journey includes ongoing illness, uncertainty, and loss. Until everyone with CF has effective treatments—and ultimately, a cure—we have more work to do.
 

Raising funds through Great Strides is one way I can publicly show my support for this community and help push this mission forward. When you give, you’re fueling the research, care, and advocacy needed to move us closer to a cure for all.
