30 FUCKING YEARS! Take that CF!!!
Pardon my french, but my "baby girl" turns 30 this year, and that's a big deal; especially when 25 years ago we were told Andrea's expected life expectancy was in the later 20s.
CF is a genetic, life-shortening disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure.
Learning the aforementioned was devastating. But we we took charge despite the news and threw ourselves into raising funds to eradicate CF. And while there is still not cure in sight, we definitely have drugs, and treatments not just prolonging life, but adding quality years of life to those battling this disease.
