Adrian Garza
Hello my name is Adrian Garza and I have been living with CF my entire life. My journey with CF has been a tumultuous one. Any of you that know me and my story, also know the struggles and hard times that my family and I have been through. I was diagnosed at 3 months old. Most of my life has been fairly thanks to having a great Dr and a Mom that devoted herself everyday to keeping me well. My lung function declined to the point of needing a double lung transplant in March of 2014. Thanks to research and medical advancements that are supported and funded by the CF foundation, I am healthy and feeling good today. My story is one of many and my hardships are nothing compared to others who struggle with CF and even lose their battle with CF just like my sister Amy did at the young age of 8 years old. Walking is a way to raise money and awareness so no one else has to live their life dealing with this terrible illness, and no other families have to see their loved ones battle through life. Having a normal life is so many times taken for granted but with the research and advancements people with CF are living longer and more normal lives than ever. Let’s walk for all the CF patients lives that have been lost and for all the future lives that can be improved and saved. God has blessed me and my family and I am truly grateful for all my family and friends, as well as all their support. Thank you for your continued support and prayers.
