We would love for you to join Caspian's Crew as we walk to raise awareness for Cystic Fibrosis! This event will be a fun-filled day while also being filled with purpose.
Our little warrior, Caspian was born with Cystic Fibrosis. CF is a genetic, life-shortening disease. The gene mutation causes a build up of thick, sticky mucus in the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs.
In the lungs, this makes it hard to breathe, the mucus clings onto harmful bacteria and can cause serious lung infections. The pancreas does not secrete pancreatic enzymes which makes it difficult to absorb nutrients and leads to digestive issues. CF also causes infertility in 98% of males. This is only a glimpse into what living with Cystic Fibrosis is like.
At this time, there is no cure.
We will not stop advocating, raising awareness, and fighting until CF stands for Cure Found.
