There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis and too many people with CF die young. We walk to help change that reality because together, we can fuel the science that is so close to bringing breath back to all those living with CF.
For Lucas, CF is a manageable chronic disease that takes daily vigilance but doesn't threaten his health. He started the miracle modulator medication at just four months old which has made his pancreas function normally, a classic trouble area for CF. His daily breathing treatments help him clear thick mucus. He's able to live life with only a few restrictions, like avoiding hot tubs - fun but not a big burden;).
We walk to honor those who have gone before us that led to the advancements his benefits from and to move a cure forward for those who can't take the life saving drugs that he can. Please join us for a morning of celebration at Kinnick!

Every person born with cystic fibrosis is on a unique journey and experiences this challenging disease differently. While progress has been made, a long road lies ahead for far too many people fighting this terrible disease. We need a cure so that everyone with CF has a better chance to live a long, healthy life.
