In 2009 my wife Pat lost her daughter Rebecca to Cystic Fibrosis. Rebecca was a fighter her whole life. She never let having CF slow her down in any way. She was a dancer, dance teacher, hard worker and overall wonderful person.
We continue to support the CF Foundation through the CF Ride for Life and Great Strides events each year so that we can make a difference in the lives of others with CF. We do this in honor of Rebecca and so many others that we have known through the years that have passed from this terrible disease.
With new drugs, the life expectancy for people with CF is getting longer, though we still need to find a cure.
