Dear Family and Friends,
Year 28 for the Crowley-McCarthy Family's participation in the Great Strides Walk will take place on May 18th at Baker Park in Frederick. As you know, members of Colleen's Crew are raising funds for research to find a cure for cystic fibrosis. My niece Colleen was diagnosed as a newborn with this disease, and we have witnessed the amazing progress the CF Foundation has made in finding medications for the various mutations, genetic therapy, transplants, and providing medical, emotional, and financial support for CF patients. Researchers worldwide collaborate to develop new clinical trials to improve the lives of CF patients. This progress is a result of the money raised at various events such as the Great Strides Walks held nationwide. Your continued support made these advancements possible, and my family is so grateful,
Our sweet Colleen will be 29 this year. She lives near the New Jersey shore and enjoys working as a social worker at one of the hospitals. She is still very much involved with the foundation as a representative at various events. Colleen continues her CF checkups at Johns Hopkins. One of her favorite roles is being Aunt Coco to her two nephews.
Please consider donating to help Colleen's Crew reach their goal of $25,000. All donations are appreciated and can be made either online or mailed to me at the address above. Your support and prayers will help us reach the ultimate goal when CF stands for Cure Found!
Love,
Kathy
There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis and too many people with CF die young. I’m walking to help change that reality.
CF is a genetic, life-shortening disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure.
Every person born with cystic fibrosis is on a unique journey and experiences this challenging disease differently. While progress has been made, a long road lies ahead for far too many people fighting this terrible disease. We need a cure so that everyone with CF has a better chance to live a long, healthy life.
Will you help us end cystic fibrosis?
By donating to my fundraising goal, you have the power to advance the research and science needed to drive our shared dream forward – a cure for everyone with CF.
