Justin Krizenesky
On Christmas Eve 2024, Justin reached a milestone birthday.
Not because he could now vote (18)… drink (21)… rent a car (25)…
He reached the average life expectancy that people with Cystic Fibrosis were given when he was born… 27.

TWENTY-SEVEN.
That’s not very long.
What were you doing when YOU were 27? Had you finished everything you wanted to in life?

Justin sure hasn’t!
Justin and I gave 5 presentations to the kids at his old grade school last Friday. There is a 4th-grader there who has CF, and they needed someone to talk to the kids about CF because they are doing a penny war. We got to tell them about CF and all the great things fundraising has accomplished, and that next week when they bring in their pennies, they’ll be helping people like their classmate and Justin.
In between presentations, Justin reminded me that I hadn’t even had him when I was 27. I definitely hadn’t accomplished everything I wanted to in life. The world would be diminished if neither of my boys had been born.
Saturday is our Great Strides Walk to Cure Cystic Fibrosis. We’re trying to raise funds so that Justin can live to 37… 47… 57… 67… and so kids born today never have to be afraid when they hear the words “life expectancy”, like Justin was.
Please donate and support him in the walk. Any amount, small or large, will make a difference to people like Justin. Want to make a statement with impact? How about donating $65?
During our presentations, Justin and I shared the story of why many people call Cystic Fibrosis, “65 Roses”, and why our family says we want to find a Q for CF. The stories are similar – they each come from a child misunderstanding what their parent was saying. The child who heard “65 Roses” was listening to his mom talking about CF on the phone. Justin thought our prayers every night were to find a Q for CF, so he made one with Lincoln Logs. He called me over and said, “Look! I made a Q for CF, just like in my prayers!”

If only it was that easy.
Thank you for your donation to help make CF stand for Cure Found, and for your prayers to find a Q for CF.
Love,
Elaine, Troy, Justin, and Ryan
P. S. Please check with your employer to see if they match charitable donations – it’s an easy way to double your gift!
