This is my grandson Archie. He has been chosen to be the event ambassador this year. His story is below! Any donation big or small helps him get closer to a cure and a long life! Archie is a happy three-year-old who loves fire trucks, the outdoors, and playing with his puppy. Diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at one week old, he began Zenpep enzymes immediately, started Orkambi at age one, and switched to Trikafta at age two. Daily treatments, including his respiratory vest, help him stay healthy—he’s had no complications so far, which his family is deeply grateful for. Their passion for Great Strides and CF Foundation fundraising comes from knowing these life-changing treatments exist because of the Foundation’s work. Archie and his family won’t stop until CF stands for Cure Found.

There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis and too many people with CF die young. I’m walking to help change that reality.
CF is a genetic, life-shortening disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure.
Every person born with cystic fibrosis is on a unique journey and experiences this challenging disease differently. While progress has been made, a long road lies ahead for far too many people fighting this terrible disease. We need a cure so that everyone with CF has a better chance to live a long, healthy life.
