Looking for a CURE

Fundraising for Gig Harbor Great Strides 2026

My granddaughter Reis, pictured here with my son Glenn, is one of the lucky ones. Although she had a rough start in life, with months in the NICU and two surgeries, she has responded well to treatment from medications developed with the support of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. As a result, she lives a happy, healthy life, including being a runner and hurdler!
But not every child responds to the treatment that works for Reis, and even the medications that work well for her are not a cure. For too many children, this genetic disorder is a devastating attack on lungs, pancreas and other major organs. Too many people with CF die young.
Will you help us end cystic fibrosis?
By donating to my fundraising goal, you have the power to advance the research and science needed to drive our shared dream forward – a cure for everyone with CF.
