Caleb is 16! He is driving, hates school, and still pesters his older brother like it's his job. If you saw him in the wild you would think "that kid is the picture of health!" and you would mostly be right. The advances we have seen in the CF community since Caleb's birth have been nothing short of miraculous. He is THRIVING because of these breakthroughs.
Despite these "wins" Caleb still faces many health challenges. We are definitely NOT DONE when it comes to addressing, managing, and CURING cystic fibrosis. People with CF are living longer now (PRAISE GOD) which means new challenges are constantly emerging. New therapies are needed so here we are, fundraising our hearts out!
CF is still a TERRIBLE time-stealing, life-shortening disease. There are still too many who can't benefit from the treatments currently available. There is still work to do! I dream of a day Caleb can say "I used to have CF."
I will fight for a CURE until there is no more breath in my body. I hope you'll join me in that fight. Until it's done.
