Cystic fibrosis is a relentless, life-shortening genetic disease that attacks the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. It makes every breath a struggle, every day a battle. There is no cure—yet. And far too many lives are cut short because of it.
This year, I’m turning 40. That milestone is deeply personal, because many people with CF never get the chance to see it. I walk not just for myself, but for every child, teen, and adult who is still fighting. I walk with hope. I walk for a cure.
Every person with CF faces a unique and difficult journey. Some are just beginning their fight. Others are holding on with everything they have. While medical advances have brought us closer to a brighter future, we are not there yet. Too many are still waiting for the breakthrough that could save their lives.
