It's that time of year again when the Powells ask for help in curing cystic fibrosis!

As you all know, Will was diagnosed with CF as a newborn. Luckily, he hasn't experienced the typical symptoms such as mucus build up in the lungs and digestive system that lead to frequent infections and extensive daily medication. Aside from a couple of hospital stays for pancreatitis, he's a healthy high school freshman.

Thanks to the development of Trikafta - medication funded by donations - his pancreas continues to be stable. Not only is it a preventative treatment, it also "fixes" the cause of the disease. It's been a true life-changer for many patients, but unfortunately, not everyone can take it. More research is needed to develop medications for all individuals so they can lead long, healthy lives without the disease's limitations.
