I fight for a cure for my nephew, Aspen, who was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at just 10 days old. From the very beginning of his life, Aspen has faced challenges most of us can hardly imagine. CF is a genetic, life-shortening disease that affects the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs, making it difficult to breathe, digest food, and fight life-threatening infections.

Despite these challenges, Aspen’s strength, resilience, and determination inspire me every day. Like Aspen, every person with cystic fibrosis has a unique journey. While remarkable progress has been made in treating this disease, too many people with CF still face an uncertain future. We need a cure so that Aspen—and everyone living with CF—can live a long, healthy life.
