There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis and too many people with CF die young. I’m walking to help change that reality for my daughter Kaisley.
CF is a genetic, life-shortening disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure.
I walk for my Kaisley Hope who was diagnosed at just 10 days old in 2015 & we have been raising awareness since then. Those gifts have funded development of drugs like Trikafta which targets the defective protein that underlies CF. The advances made have been remarkable, helping Kaisley and others maintain vigorous health.
Trikafta is not a cure for CF, that's why we continue to stride and raise money for ongoing research.
We need a cure so that everyone with CF has a better chance to live a long, healthy life.
