CF is a genetic, life-shortening disease that devastates the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs, making it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, often leading to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure. There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis and too many people with CF die young.
This is my 18th year to ask for support for this dear-to-my-heart cause. Thanks to the medical research done by the CF Foundation our grandson Blake will celebrate his 19th birthday as he completes his freshman year at Georgia Southern University. Without the work of the CF Foundation he would be leading a very different life!
We continue to hope research will lead to a cure, making CF stand for Cure Found.
