Although a bilateral lung transplant saved my life, transplantation comes with its own lethal risks. There are also many people I love who are pre-transplant and need a cure. I'm grateful that he Cystic Fibrosis Foundation pours funds into extending the lives of people both pre- and post-transplant!
Your giving builds us toward a tomorrow that is clear of CF's suffering: All the life-disrupting nausea, feeling like breathing through a straw, coughing so hard and often that ribs feel like they're breaking, the brain fog and low energy from malnourishment, the FOMO and terror of hospitalizations, the brutal side effects from using a multitude of antibiotics and other medications, and of course the dread of early death.
