Hi All,

I recently got back from a trip to DC for the annual Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Volunteer Leadership Conference.  In addition to being uplifting, inspiring and motivating, ti was also encouraging.  We heard lots of moving stories from those with CF and how they are living a mostly full life with CF. While this is great, they each still have to "deal" with the effects of CF every day. But there is hope on the horizon!
heard during the conference was the very smart and dedicated CF research scientists have cured CF in a petri dish in the lab.  WOW! INCREDIBLE!

This is awesome news.....but there is still a lot of work to do before a cure is found.

The Foundation is hard at work focused on genetic therapies- RNA therapy, gene therapy and gene editing.  These state-of-the-art approaches are designed to treat the root cause of CF.

And yes....this is EXPENSIVE!

Please help me reach my 2026 goal.....or dare I say exceed my goal for this year!  Donate to Natalie's Stand Great Strides Team.  This years Great Strides fund raising event takes place at the Houston Zoo on Saturday, May 16th with registration starting at 7am and the official walk begins at 8am.

I will be there walking if you would like to join me.  Drop me a note and I will get you registered.

Thanks for your support!

Best regards,
Karen Sontag aka Aunt Karen

PS- My niece, Natalie is now 27 years old and doing great on Trikafta. Here is a photo of Natalie and her mom, Annie from last summer.
