Hey there friends and family, and welcome to my Great Strides fundraising page! I'm reaching out to help spread the word on cystic fibrosis and why it's so very important to raise money to help find a cure for this disease. In my lifetime I've seen the compilations of cystic fibrosis end the lives of my fellow "cystas", and "fibros" at a very young age, to now people living a healthier, fuller life, not burdened by the struggles of cf. The progress that has been made really has changed the lives of those in my community.
I personally have not had the smoothest road on my journey with cf, filled with lots of ups and downs. Ultimately it led to me needing a double lung transplant (10 years ago). And while I am grateful daily for this gift of life, I hope that soon cf can be cured and other cfers don't need to have this major surgery.
I am not great at asking for money or fundraising, but every little bit helps. I would also love it, if those available could come out and walk with me on Saturday, May 3rd at 9:30, down at the Leonardtown Wharf.
