Brent Wiles
Madeline was born July 4, 1994. She was a firecracker! From a very early age, she showed her determined spirit in dealing with this disease. Her journey included countless breathing treatments, innumerable hospital stays, far too many needle sticks, IVs and medications. Along the way she made many friends of the respiratory therapists, nurses, doctors and all those who helped her fight this disease. Her kind, gentle spirit and smile were infectious but underneath was a brave, sometimes scared but determined young woman who loved to create and wanted to bring beauty into this world.
Her life ended much sooner than any one of us wanted. Maddie participated in many Great Stride walks and even a drug study to help raise awareness and funds to help others with CF. We continue in her memory.
