Hello all,
Thanks for visiting my page. I am so thrilled to be the Great Strides Walk Ambassador for the Marshfield Walk this year.
I have Cystic Fibrosis (CF), but I don't let it slow me down.
What is CF?
CF is a genetic, life-shortening disease that affects the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. CF makes it difficult to breathe and fight life-threatening infections, which can lead to extensive lung damage and respiratory failure.
The money raised by the CF Foundation is being reinvested in drug and therapy research. The medications that I am on help me greatly. They help me digest food and stay healthy.
While progress has been made, a long road lies ahead for far too many people fighting this disease. We need a cure so that everyone with CF has a better chance to live a long, healthy life.
