This is my 13th Great Strides and I walk to find a cure for myself and all of the others like me who live with Cystic Fibrosis. I'm so lucky that I get to play soccer, swim, hang out with my friends, and live a pretty normal life. That is thanks to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the research they've done to create medicines that make me more healthy.
Before these medicines were available, I had to do 1.5 hours of breathing treatments every day, I frequently had lung infections, and I had to have surgery twice to fix problems caused by my CF. I still take a lot of pills now, but I am sick a lot less and it's hard to even tell I have CF.
Even though the medicines are great, it still isn't a cure and they don't help everyone. That's why I'm still walking and raising money for a cure.
Will you help us end cystic fibrosis?
