I have been working in Cystic Fibrosis for 18 years and it has been the most important job I have ever done. Therapies have come so far since I started that our adult program is now larger than our pediatric program! We have welcomed more and more children born to parents with CF who are so much healthier than they used to be. But, even today CF still has the potential to be a devastating disease and the care burden carries a huge cost financially and psychologically. The CF Foundation is totally dedicated to helping people with this disease in every way. They fund and lead research to treat and cure CF, they help us all navigate all the financial and insurance challenges families face, they advocate for people with chronic disease at the local and federal level, they bring people with CF together in new ways and they directly support CF clinical care across the nation.
